Thank you for your interest in joining the Downtown Washington Farmers Market! Our market thrives because of the passionate local entrepreneurs, hobbyists, and growers who bring our downtown to life every Thursday evening.
Whether you are an established business looking to expand your reach or a backyard gardener with extra harvest to share, we offer a vibrant, supportive community to help you succeed.
Our Core Rule: Make it, Bake it, or Grow it!
To maintain the authentic integrity of our community market, all products sold must be baked, crafted, or grown by the vendor. We do not accept direct-sales, multi-level marketing (MLM), or wholesale/resale items.
The Quick Logistics
  • When: Every Thursday, 5p – 7:30p (Mid-May through Mid-October)
  • Where: Central Park, Downtown Washington, IA
  • Setup Time: Vendor arrival and setup begins at 3p. Please unload your wares then move your vehicle off the market perimeter by 4:45p for pedestrian safety and shopper parking.
  • Vendors CANNOT sell anything until the bell is rung at 5p.
  • Follow our Facebook page and tag us in your posts! We post pictures & videos constantly throughout the season and love to share your posts too! @WashingtonIAFarmersMarket
  • The Market does not provide tables, chairs or tents for vendors.
Vendor Booth Rates
We offer flexible options to fit your schedule and production scale, booth sizes are 10x10 (if you need a 10x20 please request it in your application and make sure we have room, there is an upcharge for larger booths).
  • Daily Non-Electric (paid weekly) $5
  • Daily Electric (paid weekly) $10
  • Yearly Non-Electric $90
  • Yearly Electric $180
  • Featured Food Vendor (Daily only) $20 (add $5 for electricity)

  1. Review the Rules: Before applying, please thoroughly read our 2026 Market Rules & Guidelines PDF to understand compliance regarding local food permits, insurance, and setup requirements.
  2. Submit Your Application: Click the appropriate button below to fill out your digital application form.
  3. Schedule: Be sure to let us know what dates you plan to attend or when you plan to start attending, especially if you are bi-weekly, monthly or ‘other’
  4. Approval & Payment: Our Market Coordinator will receive your application. If you have read the rules and have proper licenses, you may assume you are approved to attend on the date you indicate. You may pay your fee in advance online here or bring cash/check with you.
